Gastroenterology Disorders

There are two primary gastroenterology (GI) disorders. Functional GI disorders, such as chronic diarrhea, constipation, intestinal pain and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), are characterized by symptoms and not by a visible sign of disease or injury. Inflammatory GI disorders include Crohn’s Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and ulcerative colitis.
